Bryan works as an Associate Consultant with Focus Education; this is in addition to his substantive role as a primary headteacher in Bradford, West Yorkshire.
Bryan has over twelve years of experience in primary schools, spending much of this time in leadership roles. He has previously worked as a Deputy Headteacher and Literacy Consultant, as well as supporting schools across Bradford as an Advanced Skills Teacher.
Bryan took on the headship in his current school, which was subjected to Ofsted ‘Notice to Improve’ category within four months of his arrival. Since then Bryan has led the school through a highly successful inspection in which the school was deemed to ‘no longer need significant improvement’; a result he attributes highly to the team working around him. In 2011 Ofsted commented, “Enthusiastic and determined leadership by the Headteacher, ably supported by the leadership team, has led to significant improvement since the last inspection. Central to this improvement is a relentless focus on accelerating progress and raising standards. His vision and resolve to take the school forward has lead to a well developed ethos”.
Safeguarding Bryan has an enhanced CRB disclosure.
