In 2007 Focus Education established a partnership with Edge Hill University to develop a framework for accrediting work based practice.  Staff in schools can now have their work based practice accredited at either Foundation, First or Masters Degree Level. 

This means, for example, if you are interested in working towards a qualification you can do almost two thirds of a Masters degree with Edge Hill University in your work based setting on work based issues that will have been informed by your attendance on our conferences, courses or training.

This now means our conferences and training are accredited by Edge Hill.  Should you choose to take advantage of this fantastic opportunity, you will be given a form to complete.  We then pass on to Edge Hill and you will then receive your degree course information.

Edge Hill is the largest provider of professional development for school staff in the country.  Last year, over 3000 teachers alone from Gateshead to Haringey were working towards their Masters degree this way.  This is without counting the many colleagues from the wider school workforce who are also working with Edge Hill University towards their foundation degree.
