Headteachers Professional Handbook front cover

Focus Education’s popular minis, Progression in the National Curriculum and Ofsted Evaluation schedule more often than not, are sold in multiple quantities in a customer order. With heads, deputy headteachers, inspections and governors and teachers using both publications at the same time, we’ve come up with a way in which you can have two in one.

We’ve responded to your buying habits and listened to headteacher’s feedback

The Headteacher’s Professional Handbook is the perfect companion for headteachers, deputy headteachers, advisors, inspectors, and senior management working in primary schools. This publication comes in an A5 spiral-bound format with sections and dividers for an easy-to-use format.

The National Curriculum section contains the 2014 National Curriculum in a handy and easy-to-use format. The content for reading, writing, and mathematics is outlined not only by year group but also by strand or element. This makes planning for differentiation much easier as you can track an element of the curriculum from one year group to another. Content for foundation subjects is outlined by key stage expectations.

The Ofsted Evaluation Schedule contains the latest changes to the grade descriptors taking into account the Covid-19 pandemic. This is the framework which will be used from September 2021.

The reason for this new publication

Following consultation with inspectors and headteachers, these two publications have come in handy side-by-side, so they felt that the publication would be better in a combined format to become more user-friendly.

When inspectors are using both publications, they will be able to refer from one resource to another better, with the addition of sections and dividers so that they can easily access the criteria they’re looking for.

What does it cost?

For this publication, it costs just £15 which saves you or your school the cost of purchasing both publications individually. Please be aware that anyone who has purchased the Progression in the National Curriculum Focus Mini and Ofsted Evaluation Schedule, this handbook contains all of the content of both of these books.
