We are excited to announce that our Learning Challenge Curriculum website has recently been updated and upgraded.
The Learning Challenge Curriculum has been created with a strong sense of enquiry at its heart. The question-led units encourage pupils to research and present information taking full account of their ability to retain key knowledge and skills for the long term. It uses the National Curriculum as its reference point, but also takes account of pupils’ context, including their locality. Schools and academies are encouraged to use the materials provided as a starting point to enable them to create a curriculum that is bespoke to them.
There are lots of new materials and an opportunity to upgrade your package to premium plus so you get access to schemes of work, sticky knowledge and much more.
We have made it easier to get just get the items you want instead of having to buy into the full premium plus package if your budget or teachers do not need this. Certain parts of the website can be purchased additionally on top of the premium package so you can make it bespoke to your needs.
We have created an easy share with us section where teachers can upload images of work and classroom displays to help and inspire other teachers and schools.
Here are just a few reasons why you should choose the Learning Challenge Curriculum:
Centred around Enquiry based learning, it demands pupils to be inquisitive – raising and answering questions. Each unit also links to an excellent quality text providing support for the English Curriculum.
Key Knowledge and Skills
It builds progressively towards pupils acquiring key knowledge and skills linked to the National Curriculum. It also provides learners with subject-specific vocabulary and sticky knowledge.
Most units have full schemes of work covering the Science, History or Geography element, with internet links to add to the learning. It guarantees coverage of the National Curriculum in Science, History, Geography, Art and Design Technology.
Fantastic School Examples
“For the past few years we have followed Focus Education’s Learning Challenge Curriculum for Science, History and Geography and we absolutely love it! It’s super engaging, allows for challenge and most importantly is fun for us to teach!!! Would never look back now!”
“I am delighted to say that OfSTED were most positive about the Learning Challenge Curriculum which was just great for all our staff and children.”
“The Learning Challenge Curriculum struck us immediately as the right way to progress! The curriculum uses pre-learning tasks, to ensure that children are directly involved in the planning process – which in its turn allows teachers to gauge exactly where the learning need lies.”
