Jo is an associate consultant for Focus Education. She has a wealth of experience from 17 years of teaching in Coventry and Warwickshire including 6 successful years in headship. Her school was judged by Ofsted to have made ‘significant improvements since the last inspection’ with 'School improvement planning being rigorous and linked to accurate and regular monitoring and self-evaluation.' Ofsted referenced her leadership and management as 'strong in a number of respects’. She has won the hearts and minds of the school community and is determined to give her pupils a well-rounded education. She has been instrumental in managing change effectively.'
Jo is an able, confident speaker and has been invited to present at a range of national conferences. Jo is well placed to lead training days as well as provide individual school consultancy work to support leadership and management with school improvement relating to: outcomes for pupils, teaching, learning, and assessment and personal development, behaviour and welfare. She also has specific skills in working with schools to improve their approach to the teaching and learning of online safety and effective use of the school sports premium.
