Christine is an associate consultant with Focus Education. This work involves working as a trainer and consultant with schools across England. She has a wealth of experience teaching in both primary and secondary schools and in school improvement roles in a number of local authorities. As a headteacher, Christine led a school out of Special Measures, an experience that has been invaluable in supporting schools in similar difficulties as a school improvement adviser.
As a local authority officer Christine fulfilled roles as a school improvement adviser and school improvement partner. She has worked with a wide range of schools in very different contexts a number of who were in Ofsted categories or whose challenging context made them vulnerable. She also led on authority-wide projects and aspects; including statutory assessment at key stage one.
For the past 7 years, Christine has been part of the School Improvement Team in Leicester as an associate adviser. Her work with schools is on all aspects of school improvement including the development of leadership and management, teaching and learning, curriculum, assessment and inspection issues.
Christine has co-written several publications. The most recent of which help schools to improve the quality of their monitoring of the effectiveness of teaching and improve the impact teaching assistants have on pupil progress.
Christine has an enhanced DBS disclosure.
