The vast majority of schools and academies celebrate their curriculum and describe the variety of experiences and curriculum enrichment they provide for the children in their prospectus, on their website and in their self-evaluation in preparation for inspection.
This book is designed to help school leaders evaluate that enrichment to ensure that it is thorough; it meets and enhances the new National Curriculum; it involves all staff and that it provides a balance of experiences across all subjects.
Pro-formas are provided to help school leaders with this process. They have been written to include EYFS through to Year 6, but they can easily be adapted for schools whose intake does not cover the full primary age range.
There are also case study examples throughout the book to provide ideas and hopefully provoke thinking about how they could be adapted to meet the needs of children in a school or setting.
