This download has been designed to enable governors to offer challenge and support when discussing and analyzing the schools' 2019/20 Inspection Data Summary Report (IDSR). The IDSR is a key document for schools and also a starting point for inspectors when looking at the school's published data. As the Inspection Handbook states, "This information is available in the IDSR, which is available to schools and inspectors, and will be analyzed for its statistical significance in advance by Ofsted's data and insight team". Inspectors will also want to ascertain that governors are fully aware of the school's historic outcomes and that they are holding school leaders to account for this performance. This download provides example questions that governors can ask to offer appropriate challenge as well as support.
