The consultants here at Focus Education have prepared a range of short CPD videos on current and relevant themes. These videos are great starters for any staff meeting or twilight session. Pause, rewind and share with staff in your school.
This video training draws upon Ofsted's research into teacher questioning that underpins elements of the Education Inspection Framework from 2019. The video considers what this could look like in practice. It provides a range of resources and tools that could be useful for primary colleagues in developing their questioning techniques across the curriculum.
The explicit links between effective questioning and helping pupils develop their spoken language and their long-term memory of key knowledge are explained, and examples from lessons are included.
