Headteacher Inspection Training (3 Day Course)

I learnt lots , felt I could ask lots of questions specific to my school and have just come away feeling lots more confident

The course was very informative and has given me a great insight in to the new expectations of the Ofsted framework.

Clear and Informative

It was good to have the slides to make notes on as we went along, I attended the equivalent course a few times with Tim and I think not having to travel, stay over etc outweighed the lack of contact and networking. Great communication with links etc.

I enjoyed the fact the course was split into 3 days - allowing for each section to be gone through and digested without too much cognitive overload.
It was great that it was a virtual meeting, allowing for the meetings to be held at convenient locations and timings were also good for starting the virtual meetings.
From a personal point of view, it was a real bonus not to have to join break out rooms or have too much attendee chat during the course as it allowed for us to make notes and listen to the     deliverer of the course.

I really liked Tim's humour and plain speaking. I had my camera off mainly because everyone else did but I was fully engaged and writing copious notes to help me when I look back and to share with my SLT. It was really useful to hear from an actual Ofsted Inspector and although the process feels very daunting, it has given me lots of information as to how we can best prepare. Tim made sure that as a Junior school he also made certain things relevant to us and I liked the fact that we didn't have to go into break out rooms, it was just the facts, what good practice looks like and what we need to know. I really appreciated it, thank you very much.

Training delivered by Tim Nelson to our groups of schools - extremely well received and very beneficial for HTs/SLT.

Tim was great - he held our attention and his anecdotes and examples put everything into context. Going through the framework and the inspection process will really help me in my conversations with other heads and especially as I may be going back into headship sometime myself.

Very relevant content, Tim had lots of personal experience and anecdotes to draw on, presented in an amusing way, looking forward to day 2 and day 3. I will go away with a couple of jobs to complete and to update other members of SLT.

The presenter was clear and had a sense of humour, which helped.  He gave insightful comments from an inspector’s point of view.  He also gave lots of advice on what to do before an inspection.
