How much impact is your monitoring having?
It is important that your monitoring leads to sustained improvement.
Monitoring and evaluation are most effective when they are carried
out within an ethos of ‘done with’ rather than’ done to’.

Where would you place your school currently?

    Monitoring teaching……. monitoring of teaching and learning takes place
    mainly by senior staff.

Driving improvement…… as above but areas for improvement in teaching are
identified, this is linked to performance management and as a result change
happens, i.e. everyone shares the learning objective and does mini plenaries.

       Facilitating learning……. switch to reflection and coaching, emphasis on  10
       learning, senior leaders have responsibility to facilitate and support

     improvement.
