Sharon Dickinson
Profile
Sharon is a KS2 Class Teacher at an Outstanding Primary School in the North West.
For a number of years, Sharon has led the teaching of design technology across school and has taken an active role in raising the profile of the subject within the school.
As a passionate Design and Technology Lead, Sharon encourages children to design and make high quality products for a user and a purpose, while developing their problem-solving skills. She delivers high quality teaching and has high expectations of all learners.
Sharon has had a variety of school leadership roles and responsibilities including science, outdoor learning environment, computing and history. In her current position as Design and Technology Lead, Sharon has created a resource which is intended to support children’s designing and technological knowledge and skills.
In addition, Sharon has invested time and effort into coaching and empowering new and existing colleagues to reflect and enhance their own practice as well as planning and delivering effective CPD.
Sharon is immensely proud to be part of an outstanding school community whose ethos is to inspire and motivate children to be successful learners, whilst developing children’s understanding of the place of design technology in the wider world.
