The progression map at the beginning is a recommended way of ensuring pupils' progress from EYFS through to Year 6. It is set out under the following headings: designing; making; evaluating; technical knowledge or food technology.
The way of working is a suggestion which would help pupils meet the substantive knowledge and disciplinary knowledge needed to help them be proficient in DT.
