2019 has been an incredibly busy year and one of the busiest weeks we had was during Inspiring Leadership in June. This year saw our 5th year exhibiting and we had a fantastic time. We met so many wonderful inspiring teachers. Thank you to everyone who attended our stand and helped us celebrate our birthday. We look forward to attending again next year! You can see some of the highlights from this years show below.
On Monday we collected the van and started to pack everything. It was incredibly hard to fit everything in the van and it felt like a gigantic jigsaw puzzle. After a lot of thinking and moving everything around we eventually managed to fit everything in (without squishing our birthday cake). On Wednesday Elaine, Vicky and Kath drove down to Birmingham and starting setting up the stand. There was a massive 6 panel backdrop to set up and furniture to build so this took us quite a bit of time to build. After hours of building and moving everything around we were very happy with how it turned out and it was great to see it all come together.
The Stand
Planning the stand takes months. We decided our theme this year would be love since it was our 25th year and we love what we do and our customers. We then needed to source the furniture and roughly design where we wanted everything on the stand. We ran with the theme and included love hearts on the stand, Haribo love hearts in specially designed bags and inside the cups jammy dodgers since they have a gooey love heart centre.
We bought back our long awaited thermal cups which we had on our first exhibition and had been asked for each year we attended afterwards. These went amazing and again customers loved them.
We ran two hamper competitions. One was filled with books, prosecco, food and stationary to use at school. The other was filled with a range of our books.
25th Birthday Celebration
This year we celebrated our 25th birthday at Inspiring Leadership. We celebrated on Thursday with bucks fizz and cake for the delegates. This went down really well and it was a great memory from the show. We also offered 25% off all books and courses at the event to all delegates to celebrate. This also helped teachers and schools with their budgets. Our bestselling books were How to Assess a Knowledge Rich Curriculum and our Knowledge Mats.
Next Year at Inspiring Leadership
We had a fantastic time and loved the whole event from set up to pull down. We can’t wait to attend Inspiring Leadership next year. We will get underway with planning in the new year to make sure it is bigger and better than ever. We have already booked the stand and we are in the same location.
