Product Description
The early years foundation stage calls for a new way of working across early years. Not only have we looked carefully at the development of a sequential and ambitious curriculum in early years as suggested in the seven key features of effective practise, we have also looks at different ways to gather evidence, to build our knowledge and to address gaps in children’s learning.

This course spans an academic year and will enable you to start to build a moderation portfolio to enable you to accurately assess where children are up to in their learning and development. this will also serve as a tool to be used by the broader staff team, particularly by subject leaders across the rest of the school.

Session 1 will look at your curriculum and how it meets the needs of your children based on their context. We will discuss methods of collecting evidence and how to moderate this information in house and with professionals. We will then start to look at building a portfolio to support assessment in our schools. This session will leave you with a task to complete before session 2.

Session 2 will review the outcome of your task and will continue to look at assessment information how it is used in your school. A further task will enable you to develop your practise further.

Session 3 will explore further evidence gathering and assessment and will enable you to device a comprehensive policy and procedure to support your practise.
