Implementing a Coaching Culture
This one-day training is for headteachers and senior leaders in primary schools. It gives delegates the knowledge to embed coaching as a leadership style across the school. The workshop's content examines the principles and practical application of coaching. Its aim is to enable a school’s leadership team to implement a high-performance coaching culture through the effective support and challenge of the entire school community.
Underpinning the training are important leadership messages about how coaching supports the four key areas of school life: leadership, behaviour, teaching and learning and attainment.
This one-day training will address:
- understanding the power of coaching to enable personal growth and school development
- learning how to structure conversations to raise awareness and personal responsibility
- learning how to team coach to support the achievement of agreed goals
- learning how to give effective feedback which avoids criticism yet gains behavioural change
- exploring the application of coaching to include leadership, outstanding lessons and behaviour management
- introducing the five steps of implementing a high-performance culture across the school
The above elements will be applied and woven together throughout the day to form a powerful template, which can be taken away and used in your school.
