The consultants here at Focus Education have prepared a range of short CPD videos on current and relevant themes. These videos are great starters for any staff meeting or twilight session. Pause, rewind and share with staff in your school.
Ofsted refers to 'Cultural Capital' in the 2019 Education Inspection Framework, but little supporting information or guidance has been provided about what this could look like or what the expectations might be.
This video training clarifies the phrase and its origins, why it is included in the current framework and gives examples of what it could look like in schools. Together with examples for schools to consider, there is a simple audit tool for school leaders, subject leaders, and class teachers to collate and reflect on current practice, identifying strengths and areas for development. Schools will be able to provide evidence to inspectors and celebrate their successful practice.
