This publication contains a range of ready to use grammar games, covering many aspects of the 2014 English curriculum.
Each resource is either clearly modelled or includes an explanation. The games may also act as models for teachers to adapt for their own context and to devise their own to meet the learning needs of their pupils.
Many of the games are based on suggested texts for the Learning Challenge Curriculum and all games mentioned in the Planning from Quality Texts documents are exemplified.
This book demonstrates explicitly how grammar games can be used as an effective teaching tool to ensure that children understand the statutory grammar requirements, know and use the correct terminology and can experiment with grammatical features to create effects.
