Alex Neophitou
Trainer & Associate Consultant
Alex Neophitou has worked in primary education for 15 years in various roles, including senior leadership. He is passionate about supporting others with curriculum development and draws upon his considerable experience developing the broader curriculum in different settings throughout his career. He is keen to share his leadership experience and help others to unlock their leadership potential.
Utilising his extensive knowledge of supporting student teachers and ECTs, Alex is an associate for Best Practice Network on their ITT programme. He supports trainee teachers in developing their teaching of humanities subjects.
Alex leads training and development sessions covering curriculum development and subject leadership. He examines themes such as teaching through concepts - focusing on the ‘golden threads’, developing an understanding of chronology, locational knowledge, fieldwork, and the process of subject leadership. He consults directly with schools developing their bespoke curricula, working with senior leaders and subject leaders to develop their approach towards teaching and learning and leadership across their settings.
Alex works closely with Clive Davies on developing the Focus Education Learning Challenge Curriculum, creating content to support schools’ work implementing a great curriculum.
