Andrew Chadwick

Trainer & Associate Consultant

Andrew is the Safeguarding, Ambition and Inclusion Lead for an Academy Trust (with 15 schools) based in the North of England.

Andrew’s most recent role was Head of School / SENDCo at a Primary school in Bradford. He has been in school leadership since 2008, in a range of roles and different schools, from large inner-city primary schools to ones in a more suburban setting. Andrew’s real passion has been for safeguarding and inclusion.

Andrew has developed provision for SEND pupils, International New Arrivals, Pupil Premium and Looked After Children and supported in other areas such as attendance and safeguarding. This has ranged from creating specialist resourced provision to mentoring and coaching teachers. Andrew has also supported other staff members in leading in these areas, such as training new DSLs.

Andrew has led SEND reviews across Focus Trust, looking at areas of compliance and provision for children.

Andrew is extremely passionate about supporting pupils’ mental health and wellbeing. He has developed systems and provision to support children and train staff. This has been exceptionally well received by parents and children and successfully reviewed by external specialists.

Andrew is a trained coach and skilled at mentoring and coaching. He has mentored numerous ECTs and trainee teachers.
