Adele Tomlinson

Author & Associate Consultant

Adele Tomlinson has been a primary teacher for over twenty years and has worked in the childcare sector for almost thirty years. She has a keen interest in supporting children with SEND in the classroom and has a Level 5 Dyslexia Specialist qualification with the British Dyslexia Association. Adele has worked with children from 12 months old through primary, teaching every year group from Nursery to Year 4.

Adele strongly believes the more support given early on, the better the outcomes for children – all children, and particularly children with SEND. As a parent of a child with dyslexia, she views this area of SEND from both a teacher’s and parent’s perspective with an insight into how dyslexia affects the child at home and school. She is extremely passionate about these children getting through school, reaching their full potential with their self-esteem intact.

Adele has written the popular publication 'The Impact of Dyslexia on Literacy Development: Strategies to Support Learners'
