Andrew Hulme

Andrew has 21 years’ experience in teaching and leadership roles in education. Andrew is the Head of Academy at a Primary Academy in Oldham and a strategic part of the wider leadership team covering two academies within a multi academy trust in Oldham.

Andrew is passionate about inclusion for all and has been instrumental in ensuring all children can access a broad and balanced bespoke curriculum across both academies. He is the primary representative on the Local Authority’s Looked After Children’s Local Governing Body and a primary representative on the Oldham Safeguarding Board.

Andrew has many years of experience strategically leading SEND across more than one academy, supporting Local Authorities and Focus Trust schools in developing high-quality practice in this area, and being the SENDCo within individual schools. He has also been an active participant on the EHCP panel and the quality assurance panel within Oldham Local Authority.

Through Andrew’s leadership, he ensures that all children, regardless of need, receive a high-quality, appropriate, and bespoke education that caters to their needs. He ensures staff are well trained to meet the needs of all children and provides ongoing professional development opportunities and feedback so that all children receive the best education.

He highly values the importance of relationships at all levels. He strives to ensure every stakeholder is involved with all aspects of SEND provision so that every child can succeed and be supported by all involved.

BA Hons with QTS in Primary Education with Geography
