Janice Wilson

Trainer & Associate Consultant

Janice is a retired special educational needs teacher who has worked in mainstream and special education for over 25 years. Before taking early retirement, she worked on a senior management team as an Assistant Headteacher and SENCO in a large, outstanding special school in Lancashire.

During her 13 years at this school, she was responsible for setting up the specialist provision for pupils with Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and providing advice, training and support for the school's staff and some of its local mainstream partners.

She has also worked as a specialist ASD teacher in Wigan, where she was part of a team that established a new provision for pupils with ASD and other associated social communication difficulties.

Before this, she worked for Salford Support Service on their ASD team, supporting pupils and professionals in mainstream primary schools across the borough.

Qualifications:
BA Hons Teaching & Learning Support with QTS
PGC in SPLD (Dyslexia)
Autism Education Trust (AET) Level 3
