This video training for senior leaders is based on research into middle leadership and how this can be best developed in an educational setting. With the increased emphasis on subject leadership in primary schools under the current inspection framework, this is valuable training to ensure senior leaders can plan training, guidance, and support in ways that will enable subject leaders to be most effective. As well as exploring the research, the video provides real-life examples of how subject leadership has been developed in successful schools and ensures senior leaders can provide clarity and guidance, especially to subject leaders new to the role.

This training is relevant to Headteachers and Deputy Headteachers who are responsible for and oversee subject leadership in primary schools.
