Enriching the Curriculum

Description

The vast majority of schools and academies celebrate their curriculum and describe the variety of experiences and curriculum enrichment they provide for the children in their prospectus, on their website and in their self-evaluation in preparation for inspection.

This book is designed to help school leaders evaluate that enrichment to ensure it is thorough, meets and enhances the National Curriculum, involves all staff, and provides a balance of experiences across all subjects.

Pro-formas are provided to help school leaders with this process. They have been written to include EYFS through to Year 6, but they can easily be adapted for schools whose intake only covers part of the primary age range.

There are also case study examples throughout the book to provide ideas and provoke thinking about how they could be adapted to meet the needs of children in a school or setting.
