Description
The consultants here at Focus Education have prepared a range of short CPD videos on current and relevant themes. These videos are great starters for any staff meeting or twilight session. Pause, rewind and share with staff in your school.
This CPD video is ideal for primary headteachers who are updating their self-evaluation. Assuming leaders already have an SES/SEF in place, this training focuses on the key aspects of each inspection area with advice on what to consider when updating the document. The advice is based on the latest inspection training, feedback from recently inspected schools, and the course leader’s experience of reading a wide range of self-evaluations and working with school leaders across the country.
Each section of the inspection framework (Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership and Management, and EYFS) is covered, with key questions provided to provoke reflection and provide a basis for revising the existing SES/SEF. The relevant grade descriptors are then provided as a summary benchmark.
The training will help you update and revise an existing SES/SEF document to fully align with the latest Ofsted handbook and grade descriptors.

- What are the common strengths and the potential pitfalls of self-evaluation?
