A 30 minute session looking at how to use golden threads in your curriculum.

Learning is all about making links. Supporting our children to develop a strong understanding across the curriculum is all about activating prior knowledge that will enable new learning to happen. Identifying your golden threads within specific subject areas will help teachers to guide their children towards making meaningful links within and across contexts.

We will investigate:

•    What we mean by golden threads
•    The possible golden threads that can be utilised
•    How this could look in different subject areas
•    How links can be made across subject areas and contexts

There will be an opportunity for discussion and questions around which concepts can make good threads and how you can piece this all together as part of your curriculum.

You do not need to be a subscriber of the Learning Challenge Curriculum to attend this course, you can attend this course, whatever curriculum you are using and it will help.
