Clare is an independent educational consultant, providing advice, consultancy, training and strategic leadership support to schools and Local Authorities across the North West. Clare draws upon over 20 years’ of educational leadership experience having been a Primary Head Teacher for 10 years with a proven track record of School Improvement and Leadership Development. She has worked as an Executive, Interim & Associate Head Teacher.

Clare has most recently worked on commissions in Local Authorities across the North West, including Oldham, Warrington and Sefton, developing School Improvement systems, Early Years support and Leadership CPD.

Clare specialises in supporting schools and Local Authorities to develop systems and structures to maximise effectiveness as well as delivering leadership training, coaching and development. She is able to guide and challenge Head Teachers, Governors and Senior Officers, enabling them to reflect, stay focussed and perform to the best of their ability. Clare does this by combining her excellent grasp and understanding of the day to day demands of leading and managing a school and her experience of Senior Roles within a Local Authority to provide tailored advice and support at both an operational and strategic level.

In addition to this, Clare has experience as a School Governor and sits on the Local Advisory Committee of a secondary academy. She is Chair of the Groundwork Trust Greater Manchester Compliance and Performance Committee and a Trustee of The Learners’ Trust in Derbyshire.
