Katie Savage

Katie is an associate consultant for Focus Education. Katie has worked in primary education for 10 years and has spent much of her career as a highly successful senior leader. Her roles have included that of phase leader, inclusion leader, deputy headteacher and most recently Acting headteacher. Katie has also worked across Bradford as a leading maths teacher and as a moderator for KS2 English.
Katie was promoted to her first leadership role following her school being graded as satisfactory by Ofsted. As a key member of the leadership team, she was instrumental in developing a rapid, yet sustainable programme of school improvement which resulted in the school being graded as outstanding just three years later. In 2013, during her time as acting headteacher, the school was re-inspected and again judged to be outstanding. She was described by Ofsted as having ‘a very clear vision of excellence’ and also showing ‘a relentless commitment to continue improving the quality of teaching and pupils’ achievement’.
